"A very special dedication, the most important one, goes to
Quorthon
You inspired me to take up this project again, and influenced me
in a very profund way. My biggest regret is that I will never be
able to meet you... I was born too late, and You were gone far too soon.
But even though You’re no longer with us, You still live within your everlasting
music and the endless legacy of artists that You inspired.
This album, this whole project, is not only a tribute, it’s also the only way
I have now to get in contact with You, and to carry on your memory with pride.
As long as your legacy will last, You’ll continue to live within us.
May You hear our voices in the Glorious Hall Up High.
Hails my Master, You’ll never be forgotten!"

(From the album's insert)

1. Tomorrow

Cold, black night

Campfires light up

A deafening silence

Breaks the air

A thousand men

Their hearts in hell

Their souls in pain

Their minds in fear

Tomorrow

The battle will stand

A day of glory

A day of death

Shields will be cracked

Men will be slain

Tomorrow will be

A Fine Day To Die

2. The Day Of Sorrow

The cold morning breeze

Whispers gently among the tents

The bright warm sunrise

Awakens this plain of sorrow

The armies take sides

Shining bright for the armors and swords

The eyes open wide

Shining bright for the tears of fear

The horns roar loud

Men run and shout

"Triumph in Glory

Or in honor Die!"

Steel clashes

Skulls are smashed

Blood is spilled

Die!

3. Thunder, Blood and Fire

The endless plain is filled with

Running men, knights and shouts

The air is filled with fear

Clouds of dust rise from the ground

The steel in swords, axes and shields

Clashes in deafening Thunder

Thunder, Blood and Fire!

The shining spears of steel arise

Men shout loud with pride

Swords cut deep in the flesh

And tear it off from bones

The wounded scream in pain and death

And fall in their spilled Blood

Thunder, Blood and Fire!

The archers shoot with their bows

The burning arrows fly

The tar is spilled on enemies

The torches light up bright

The red, high, steaming, burning flames

Rise like infernal Fire!

Thunder, Blood and Fire!

4. Chant of Glory Eternal

When the Sun will rise

We'll march on the fields of war

In Glory we will triumph

Or in Honor we will die

Oh wise Gods, give us strenght and pride

Oh Mars, fight at our side

Oh Jupiter, give us victory

Oh Destiny, mantain our memory

And if in war I'll fall

Oh mates, bury me with my sword

And shall my memory stay alive

When my Time has come to Die

5. Soldiers of Rome

Leaving my Land on this dark day

Visions of death I see on my way

Needed to fight, needed to slay

On the dark plains so far away

Shall you support me and be at my side

Great Gods of war and forefathers of mine

Shall we spread our way open wide

Shall we throw the enemies all aside

A cold wind through my hair blows from the mountainside

And cold black clouds gather up high

Strike do lightning and thunder from darkened skies

Soldiers of Rome, given is the sign!

Shall you my shield, faithful and strong

Protect the one to whom you belong

And you, my lethal shining sword

Don't hesitate to make them breath no more

A cold wind through my hair blows from the mountainside

And the black clouds in the sky open wide

Shines down the sun on the land of the fight

Soldiers of Rome, march on them tight!

Now we will march through the sunlight

And we will make our way to the fight

And we will crawl in the black night

And we will silently take their lives

When we will proudly triumph in this war

The sign of Victory we'll bring back home

And of the ones who will have to die

The names shall be remembered with pride

6. Gloria et Mortem

I take my last look at the sky

Just before I die

Before the last glimpse of life

In me goes away

I can feel the steel in my flesh

Excruciating pain

I lay in my own blood

As my limbs get colder

Looking at the horizon far away

We see the enemies who came from beyond

With nothing but Death and Pride at our sides

For our Land we must go on

As we saw the enemies

We prepared to fight

I took my place in the first lines

Holding my sword tight in my hand

We kept marching on them tight

But they came from the sides

My fate was said, I have to Die

But won't die my Honor nor my Pride

Now our enemies are all around

And many of our men lay dying on the ground

But with our Pride and our Honor inside

For our Land we must go on

7. Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum

Prologue

(instrumental)

Chapter 1

Surrounded by dust on this bloody ground

The furious battle I see all around

Fear strikes my heart on this land of fight

I know that today I have to Die

When our weapons like lightning shine

And roaring like thunder the horns give the sign

With our pride and our mouths open wide

Launching the yell of war we march on Tight

We proceed towards the enemies on the plain

Our swords and our shields all pointed at them

With deafening thunder the first lines collide

Time to slay or be slain, begun has the Fight

Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum!

Chapter 2

Now many thousands miles from home you stand amidst this deadly hell

You witness this scenery of destruction, you stand in this place of chaos and death

And you think back to your loved ones as you strive to save the Land

Is it worth the sorrow and pain, is it worth descending in Hades?

But then you think back to your honor doctrine and follow your warrior pride

To grant times of peace for your Land, take up arms and prepare to fight

March on your enemies with pride, hold your sword in your hand tight

With strong voice chant to the Gods up high, should this be your day to die

Chapter 3

Hear me up in the Sky

Great Gods way up high

and stay here at my side

Now that I've death beside

This is My Day To Die!

Die!

Die!

Die!

8. His Last Sunset

Along the darkening mountains and plains

Among the bodies left there from the fight

There was a soldier, his soul was slain

Wounded to death in the fight

He cried in pain and feared the night

Neither more hopes nor words to say

'Cause when the sunset would have brought the night

He would have Passed Away

And then the nostalgic memories came

Of the ones he loved and were to him near

And those of the times he deceived and hurt them

Pierced his feelings like spears

His heart was now filled with sorrow and fear

And of regret now he cried in vain

'Cause he knew that time was coming near

For him to Pass Away

And now the horizon at the end of the plain

Was coloured by the bright red sunlight

He lifted his teary eyes again

Watching his last sunset

And as he lost the will to fight

The setting Sun put an end to the day

And when the Day gave way to the Night

Alone he Passed Away
