1. Prologue

(Instrumental)

2. Pedemontium

Ride far North in the Hesperian Land

To the place where the Stone Giants stand

The Land where the Great River is born

The land where the candid snow glows

Behold the great plains open wide

And the mountains towering to the Sky

Here many great battles were fought

Here many legends were born

Pedemontium

Ride long through the forests and hills

On your face feel the warm soft spring breeze

Hear the water in the streams and lakes flow

See the mist and the mighty winds howl

Behold the impervious mighty mounts above

In Winter capped in ice and snow

And the austere King of Stone sovereign

Who tall above the land reigns

Pedemontium

3. Dark Mountain

Sinks the Sun and falls the Night

The blue Moon climbs up high

Follow the path of stone and ice

To Dark Mountain towering high

Home of hags and werewolves

Arcane shadows, cursed souls

Caves of mistery and rites long gone

Ancient signs carved into the stone

Along the black mountainside

Spark eerie fatuous fires

Deep within the Dragon’s cave

Celebrated is the rite

Pour the blood of sacrifice

Read out loud the signs

Dance around the Eternal Fire

Soul and Dark unite for all Time

4. I Died by the Mountainside

Through this frozen land we ride

Winter cold, snow and ice

On this day we have to fight

To gain glory or to die

Through this valley of death we ride

Carrying cold steel at our sides

Along blackened Mountainside

of Dark Mountain towering high

Darkest Woods, Endless Sky, Land engulfed in Mist

Lightning strikes, Thunder rolls, Swords are held Up High

Towering Mountains way Up High, Blackened Mighty Peaks

Blood and Steel, Glory and Death, here I Died by the Mountainside

We do shout loud with great pride

Screams echo along Mountainside

Stars are bright, Dark is the Night

Blades flash blue in pale Moonlight

A blow cuts me from behind

Wounded on the ground I lie

My wounds spill my Blood on Ice

This is A Fine Day To Die

Darkest Woods, Endless Sky, Land engulfed in Mist

Lightning strikes, Thunder rolls, Swords are held Up High

Towering Mountains way Up High, Blackened Mighty Peaks

Blood and Steel, Glory and Death, here I Died by the Mountainside

5. Crystal Eyes

Through the trees whispered a light breeze

Gently caressing their leaves

The Mountains towering to the Sky

To the Sky way Up High

Downcast and lone did I pace

I did stop to rest in a glade

The Sun was setting low

Along Horizon its crimson rays

Then a sound did I hear so close

I did turn around and behold

Just standing in the Blue Moon glare

Was a maid lonely and fair

Hair as black as the darkest Night

Skin as pale as Snow and Ice

Your lips soft as a flower And

a gleam in your Crystal Eyes

A veil of mystery in your look

Carefully did I approach

Your hair swaying gently in the wind

A sweet fragrance of flowers it brought

Softly did I say

“Have no fear, don’t run away”

Scars of a tragic past Did

I see in your Crystal Eyes

Softly did I touch your hand

Did I kiss your flower lips

Your Heart was one with mine

Bound Beyond the End of Time

The Night would pass and with day’s first glare

I will leave, my fair shed no tears

My fate calls me to lands Far Away

Await me, we will meet again

-Dedicated-

-to anyone who-

-will feel touched-

-by this song-

6. The Trail of Ice

Riding lone through the darkest Night

Down the Trail of Neverending Ice

Not a sound do I hear nor do I see a light

Just the wind and the snow in my eyes

Deep in the Woods where the Mist and the Shadows float by

Above me the Mountains towering to the Sky

My Stallion rides through the forest

His fleece black as the Sky above

His nostrils steaming in the cold air

And his muscles tense and strong

In my hands his reins I hold tight

As he strides and takes me through the Night

Fast I ride, I bring a message for my Legion

For my Land, treading the Trail of Snow I go

Hilt in wood, in leather and bronze

And in Moonlight its Iron ablaze

Each dent and each scratch and each rift

A legend carved into its blade

Forged by my Fathers when this World was young

Now at my side, shining, lethal and strong

Now my limbs are sore and tires

And I’m bitten by hunger and cold

But I gaze at the Stars in the Sky

Shining down on me, lighting the road

Though the Trail is strong and the Way is long

I have no fear, for the Gods are by my side

Fast I ride, I bring a message for my Legion

For my Land, treading the Trail of Snow I go

7. Mountain Soul

Far did I walk, long did I climb

My Mountainside, to find myself inside

Long did I follow the Path of Stone and Ice

Still when I look up the Summit is far Up High

The path is steep and the trail was strong

My limbs sore and tired, they won’t keep going for long

But I appeal to all my strenght, I can’t give up now that I’m here

I raise my eyes, now the Summit is near

Atop a snowcovered Mountain

I stand tall and behold my Land

The endless plains open wide

The Mountains towering to the Sky

I raise my arms to the Sky

By my side the forefathers of mine

Through my hair I let the wind blow

Here I am free, Mountain soul

Now I’ve reached the Summit, in pride I stand tall

I let my teary limbs rest, I hear the strong winds howl

I launch yells of glory, they echo through the Land

My arms I open wide, I feel free now where I stand

Atop a snowcovered Mountain

I stand tall and behold my Land

The endless plains open wide

The Mountains towering to the Sky

I raise my arms to the Sky

By my side the forefathers of mine

Through my hair I let the wind blow

Here I am free, Mountain soul

8. The Lake od Witches

Deep within the Woods on this Land

Is a Lake of water crystal clear

Its surface reflects the Eternal Sky

And within its depths a Legend lies

Into these ancient woods, in times long time gone

A lady walked alone, betrayed in her love

And going along the path an old hag she encountered

Who gazed into her soul, and the lady her story told

The lady asked her loved one back

So the hag told her to come along

The women ventured deep within a cave

Where two ponds of crystal water laid

The ponds showed to the lady who gazed deep within them

The love of mortal men, or the eternal beauty of Gods

She chose the Gods and danced with the hags around the Fire

They vanished with the cave, and the Crystal Lake was left

9. The King of Stone

O King of Stone, You Mighty and Tall

Your gargantuan shape dominating the land

Your ominous peak where cold winds howl

Watching silent from above

Your voice the sound of rumbling stones

And wind lashing your impervious cliffs

Your cloak the cold rising mist

Of snow and ice your glacial coat

Way Up High, the Mighty Mountain towering to the Sky

An Ancient King turned into stone by the rage of Gods

And now He stands, a Presence enormous and austere

Amidst the impervious Lands of Ice, dominating from Above

Arcane legends echo through the valleys dark and deep

Written in stone, and told at night by elders

At day we behold your silent austere shape

Inspiring awe, respect and ancient fear

Who dares venture on the inviolable cliffs

Curse shall lay heavy on them all

The Mountain shall claim their fragile lives

From their valiant journey never to return
